Fall 2010 Canadian Rockies Photo Tour Results — Dan Wheeler

October 31, 2010

Continuing with the photo results from the participants in the Fall 2010 Photo Tour based at Aurum Lodge, today we’ve got 5 photographs from Dan Wheeler. I mentioned in the first results post that the small group was quite diverse in terms of interests, and we can immediately see that here. Dan’s eye is strongly drawn to details and intimate compositions. His selections show an emphasis on lines and forms, extracted from the wider scene, with a dash of creative use of contrast. Enjoy!

This gent sees the world a lot like I do.  Nice stuff!  In particular, images two and four above remind me strongly of the kinds of shots I take when I’m in the Rocks.

Thanks Garth I’m gald you like the photos. I find that within the grandeur of the mountains it is difficult to focus on the size of the place. For me an 8 x 10 does not do the area justice. As they say remove the clutter and the photo will create itself.
